My adventures of 2009

Life is always changing and there are so many ways that it can go. Right now my life has been changing a bunch but with change comes opportunity. Since the mission I haven't really thought about what it was that I wanted or needed for my future. In the past couple of months I have had the chance to think a lot about what it is that I need to do for me and my future.
Doors have opened and made it possible that I am going to be able to graduate in the next year. To accomplish this i am going to move down to New Mexico and live with my wonderful brother and his cute family and be a nanny to two adorable kids. i will be taking 15 credit hours on-line which is triple the amount of hours i have been about to take while i have been working full time. this will give me a jump start at getting my bachelors. I am excited for New Mexico because i found out that the temple is very close by, there is a huge indoor rock climbing gym about 5 mins away, the Sandia mountains are close by for outdoor climbing, there are many Latinos for me to practice my Spanish with and it is not Utah. I love experiencing new places!
After NM I am hoping to get an internship with the agency that works with Whitney (my sister's cute baby girl that has cerebral palsy) They are a group of occupational therapists that go into the homes with children 3 and younger that have disabilities and they help the children and the families learn new things. I am excited to learn from them and see if it is a career that i might possibly want to pursue. The plus of this is that i will be able to live in our condo and be in St George.

In July, if i am able to pay for it, I am going on a study abroad to Mexico to do humanitarian work. It would be a wonderful opportunity that i would be able to use my Spanish, enjoy serving others and get credit towards my major while i do it. I am SO excited!

After these adventures then i will come back to Salt Lake and because of the internship, study abroad and online classes i should be able to take a full schedule in the fall and graduate in December in the field of Human Development. I am also excited because i found out that there is a possibility of a job opening up in weber county that i might be able to work on drug and alcohol prevention again. I pretty much have a full time job to come home to after my adventures. i am SO grateful to the Lord that he has opened these doors and helped me realize my full potential. He is amazing how he guides us with his love.

So now, after January, if any of you are driving through New Mexico you must give me a call and we will get together! Yay for new adventures!!!
